Grayson Allen Staying At Duke For Junior Season

Apr 14, 2016 10:53 AM

Grayson Allen has decided to remain at Duke for his junior season.

“I talked with my parents and prayed about this decision, and I had the feeling that it was right,” Allen said in a statement released by the school. “I love Duke and I’ve made relationships with my teammates that will last forever. Coming back next season to play with them is important to me. Earning a Duke degree has always been a dream of mine, so I’ll also be working to get closer to that goal.”

Allen was a third-team AP All-American as a sophomore.

Brandon Ingram Declares For NBA Draft

Apr 4, 2016 12:20 PM

Brandon Ingram has declared for the 2016 NBA Draft.

Ingram is expected to either be the first or second overall pick in the draft.

Ingram made the announcement in a first-person essay on The Players Tribune.

"My time is almost over here in Durham," wrote Today as I declare for the NBA Draft, I’m both excited and sad about this moment.

"On one hand, one year at Duke isn’t a very long time. I know that. But I’ve done a lot of growing, and growing up, in that time. I know by leaving I’ll miss out on a lot of friendships and opportunities. I’ll really miss all the students who showed me so much love. One of my favorite parts of the Duke basketball tradition is the high-five line at the end of home games. The students who camp out for seats for up to a week before a game — and get in their seats two hours early — are always still there after the final buzzer. Win or lose. You guys gave me the energy and support that I needed. I’ll never forget you all."
